The Coaches

KENT WAIDE  Head Swimming & Diving Coach.  He grew up competing in age group, high school, and NCAA Div. 1 college swimming, while holding records at each level he participated.  He was a four year letterman at MNHHS competing at state in each season.  He is also inducted into the MNHHS Sports Hall of Fame.

He began coaching over 30 years ago and has coached numerous individual and team champions including the MNHHS first overall region 1 championship in 2016.  He has been involved in coaching the Maroon team since 1999.  In 2012 and 2016 he was named the KHSAA Region One Coach of the Year. 

ASHLEY SORIANO  Assistant Swimming Coach.  Ashley started swimming at age 3.  Was swimming competitively by age 5.  Swam for Paducah swim team/USA from ages 14-18.  Also swam for Western Kentucky University.
